In the last years, Scrum Methodology has become a trend. Teams work to try to achieve a common goal in a set period of time. If you are using Scrum in your team, this post might be useful for you.
Tip 1. Bring an outsider Scrum Master
Usually Scrum Teams are self-managed. Sometimes it is good idea to invite an experienced Scrum Master, this will facilitate the meetings.
This Scrum Master doesn’t become the boss, it is just a person who moderates the talk and can give advices on decisions which members can’t agree.
Tip 2. Rules
Not all members of your team knows the rules of Scrum. It is a good behavior to present and improve these rules within your Team.
Tip 3. Retrospectives
“Retros” are important in the Scrum world.
Take opportunity to share and discuss the finished sprint (problems, steps, relations). It is also good to talk about good things, as this will motivate your Team. In addition, try to listen and propose some improvements for the next sprints.
Tip 4. Capacity
Not every team is the same, try to adapt and be realistic on accepting the Sprint tasks. Sometimes you might think you can do all tasks selected for the sprint but it is not always like you think.
By experience, you will more or less know how many tasks your team can take. A good tip on how to estimate on would be to get an average from previous sprints. This rule is not 100% sure, but might be helpful.
